Meet Bethany

I'm Bethany; a southern belle / city girl, taking on Nashville with my music man, a rescue pup, and a classroom full of kindergarten kiddos. Welcome to my corner of the internet!

The Basics.
I grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas for 18 years before running north to Springfield, Missouri to continue my education! Born into a small family with two loving parents and a very diva cocker spaniel, I was constantly encouraged to be the best possible version of myself that I could be. This nurtured a high priority in self love, a confidence in my own creativity, and room in my heart for some very big dreams! I now work as a kindergarten teacher and emotional education blogger. I have followed my heart to an urban area, while also returning to the south to reunite with my high school sweetheart, Dylan Roth. Six months in, I adopted a 4 month old cockalier puppy. Her name is Piper, and she helps run the show around here by snuggling with me while I write. Now, we're are taking on Nashville and I have never been happier with my rather spontaneous decision to move to Tennessee!

My Education.
In May of 2017, I graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Arts Integration. I love being in Nashville because there are so many opportunities to share performance art with small children! The arts and education are powerful places to be... The arts help instill confident creativity in performers and audience members alike, and educators work on the front end of academics and mental health to ensure that students are not only reading and writing, but are growing up to be polite, social, confident individuals. This is, after all, my ultimate passion! I am currently pursuing my Masters Degree in Social Work / Family Involvement, an extremely important and often neglected area of education, training myself to become better at educating and communicating with parents in how they can help their child (and themselves!) become smarter, stronger, self-loving people.

My Favorites.
Food: All things potato...particularly french fries
Movie: Breakfast at Tiffany's
Book: A Tree Grows In Brooklyn
Color: teal and purple
Drink: Coffee, Diet Coke, and Unsweet Tea (I know, I'm not a real southerner...)
Season: Autumn
Flower: Stargazer Lillies
Fast Food: Chickfila!
Band: Train
Hobby: Reading, Journaling, Crafting
Subject: English

My Fandoms.
Disney.   Sassy like Jasmine, dedicated like Tiana, and ambitious like Ariel, I'm pretty sure I was destined to be a Disney Princess. Especially Belle...longing for adventure and embracing romance at every opportunity... Belle would be a teacher, too, don't you think??
Broadway.   Hamilton, Les Miserables, and Finding Neverland, and Wicked are a few of my favorites, but my heart belongs to Phantom of the Opera.
Fashion.   Yeah, yeah, I love my sweatpants as much as the next girl does... But I love finding the perfect outfit with the perfect shoes and perfect matching accessories!
Pinterest.   Like any addiction... I need it to survive. Follow me to share ideas!

My Mission.
All that education... And no one taught us to love ourselves. My primary mission in life is to help men, women, and their little kiddos discover their confidence and bask in their own self-love. Whether I'm in a classroom or writing for my blog, it is my job to ensure that I, and everyone around me, is growing into the best version of ourselves that we can be!

Stick around and read while, beautiful. I'm so happy you're here!
